Adult Beginner Group Slide Lesson

Discover the thrill (& addiction!) of sliding with experienced instructors!

Service Description

Our group beginner sliding sessions are super fun and supportive, guiding you through the basics of freeride and downhill longboarding. 🛹 You'll gain confidence and skills, building speed, sliding using gloves, foot braking, and more. We'll learn one or two intro slides with slide gloves depending on how you get on. If you haven't skated much before, I'd recommend practising basic pushing, carving and foot braking to give yourself more confidence. You do need to be confident going a bit faster to be able to slide. 🚀 Equipment and safety: Please bring your own board, knee and elbow pads and slide gloves. If you don't have a board or slide gloves I can lend you these, please just indicate this in the booking form. In advance of the session, you must sign the compulsory waiver found in the booking form or on our site. If you're unsure if your board is suitable for sliding feel free to send us a WhatsApp or email. Lesson Time, Duration and Frequency: You can book a one-off session or a pack of classes. The initial session gets you going but I recommend keeping the momentum and booking another session(s) to top up the technique (it can be hard off YouTube!). Please try to arrive 10 minutes before the session to maximise time on the board rather than putting on protections. Your teacher: My name is Danielle and I LOVE longboarding 🛹 I co-founded @BristolGirlsLongboard, a women's skate community in 2020 and I also work part-time at Vandem Longboard Shop in Bristol. I'm staff for Longboard Girls Crew UK and Longboard Girls Crew Global. I've had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of people over the years and have completed specialised training with Skate GB, Skateistan and The Good Push. I have enhanced DBS, NSPCC Safeguarding and outdoor first aid qualifications. ...get ready to feel the thrill! 🤘🏼💨
