Code of Conduct

At Soulful Skate Co., we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all skaters, parents, and instructors. This Code of Conduct applies to all participants in our sessions, events, and trips.

1. Code of Conduct for Skaters
  • Respect Others – Treat fellow skaters, instructors, and members of the public with kindness and respect. No bullying, discrimination, or harassment will be tolerated.

  • Follow Instructions – Listen to your instructor and follow their guidance to ensure a safe learning environment.

  • Stay Safe – Always wear appropriate protective gear (helmets are mandatory for under-18s). Be aware of your surroundings and skate within your ability.

  • Respect the Environment – Take care of the skate area, dispose of rubbish properly, and be mindful of others using the space.

  • No Dangerous Behaviour – Reckless skating, deliberate collisions, or endangering others will result in removal from the session.

2. Code of Conduct for Parents & Guardians
  • Support a Positive Atmosphere – Encourage your child to have fun, learn, and respect others. Competitive or aggressive behaviour is not encouraged.

  • Respect Instructor Decisions – Our instructors are trained to ensure the safety and progression of all skaters. Please support their decisions and coaching approach.

  • Stay Contactable – If your child is under 18, ensure we have up-to-date emergency contact details and remain contactable during sessions.

  • Photography & Social Media – Only take photos of your own child unless you have permission from others. Respect privacy rules regarding image use.

  • Report Concerns – If you have any safeguarding or safety concerns, speak to the instructor or contact Danielle Davis (Founder & Safeguarding Lead) at danielle@soulfulskateco.com.

3. Code of Conduct for Instructors & Staff
  • Prioritise Safety – Ensure all skaters understand safety rules and wear the necessary protective gear.

  • Inclusive & Positive Coaching – Provide encouragement, support, and fair treatment to all participants, regardless of skill level or background.

  • Maintain Professional Boundaries – Avoid one-on-one unsupervised situations with under-18s. Communicate with minors only through approved business channels.

  • Follow Safeguarding Procedures – If you witness or are informed of a safeguarding concern, report it immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

  • Respectful Behaviour – No discriminatory, aggressive, or inappropriate language or actions will be tolerated.

4. Breaches of the Code of Conduct

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Warnings – A verbal or written warning.

  • Removal from the session – If behaviour compromises safety or wellbeing.

  • Permanent exclusion – In cases of serious or repeated misconduct.

Soulful Skate Co. reserves the right to take appropriate action based on the severity of the breach.
