Kid’s Skateboarding

Absolutely! We prioritise safety by providing helmets and protective gear, using beginner-friendly locations, and teaching essential techniques like foot braking and balance control.

We've taught kids from as young as 4 but most are ready aged 6. Our lessons are designed for children aged 6 and up. We tailor sessions based on age and ability to maximise fun!

Absolutely! It's great for confidence if they can improve skills on a board they're familiar with.

Please bring your own helmet and padset (including knees, elbows and wrists). These are particularly important as they give you confidence and are a must for pump track and sliding sessions.

Clothes you don't mind getting dirty that have a strong material and won't rip.

Shoes sensible for skating - shoes with flat soles for better grip and control. These help with foot braking.

Just some comfy clothes, trainers with a flat sole, and a water bottle.

We provide boards and helmets if needed!

Our courses are designed for steady progression over several weeks. Here’s an example of what you might cover:

4-Week Beginner Longboarding Course:

• Week 1: Pushing, braking, stance, and first turns

• Week 2: Carving, board control, and confidence building

• Week 3: Speed control, lines, and flowing turns

• Week 4: Linking skills — cruising routes

6-Week Surfskating Course:

• Week 1: Stance, pumping, and flow

• Week 2: Carving technique and weight distribution

• Week 3: Linking turns and building speed

• Week 4: Skate park turns

• Week 5: Surf-style manoeuvres and cutbacks

• Week 6: Dropping in at the skatepark and finding your flow

Every course is shaped around the group’s pace and goals — no two courses are exactly the same.
