⚠️ Update: Change to Coaching Setup at The Wave – July 2025

Due to recent uncertainty around the future of The Wave and delays in communication from the new management team, Vasco from Concrete Surfers will no longer be travelling from Portugal to join us for this event.

But the good news? The surfskate sessions are still going ahead as part of The Surf Show weekend — and will now be taught by Danielle (Soulful Skate Co. founder) in small group format (max 5 people per session) to ensure high-quality, hands-on coaching.

We’re hoping to reschedule Vasco’s UK visit for later this year or early next, and will share more once it’s confirmed.

About Vasco & Concrete Surfers

Weekend Schedule Sat 12th & Sun 13th July

We'll be running a mix of sessions across the weekend

📍 The Surf Show, The Wave - entry to the site is free!

Intermediate & Advanced Ramps (5 Spots)

🕥 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Saturday and Sunday
🎯 Level: Intermediate to Advanced - A focused session for confident riders and surfers to build speed, flow and carve tight lines using surfskate technique.
Location: Pump Track/Ramp Area
£25 per person

Beginner Surfskate (5 Spots)

🕛 12:15 PM – 1:15 PM Saturday and Sunday
🎯 Level: Complete Beginners - New to skating? Learn how to push, turn and balance in a safe, welcoming environment.
Location: Flat Concrete (next to the lake)
£20 per person

Surfer & Intermediate Skater Surf Training (5 Spots)

🕒 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM Saturday and Sunday
🎯 Level: Intermediate Surfers & Skaters looking to improve their surf technique on land — think carving, upper body movement, and flow drills.
Location: Flat Concrete (next to the lake)
£20 per person

FAQs

Limited boards and protections are available to borrow on the day, please bring your own if you have them. If you need to borrow a board or pads, please note that in your booking. Helmets, even bike helmets, are great!
There will be some book on the day spots, but these are limited. Please book ahead of time to secure your place.
These sessions are for adults, however, if your child would really like to up their surfskating and they have prior experience, get in touch and we can slot them in. A parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver on their behalf.
We’re exploring the option of adding a small number of town-based sessions in Bristol, including flat or bowl-focused classes. Register your interest by sending us a message, and we’ll be in touch.
