Kids Private Lesson

Fun, confidence-building skate lessons for kids

Service Description

Kids’ private skate lessons are tailored to your child’s age, confidence and experience. Whether they’ve never stepped on a board before or already have some experience, sessions are gentle, fun and confidence-building, with plenty of encouragement and flexibility. Lessons usually focus on balance and stance, pushing and stopping safely, carving and turning, and building flow through playful drills and games. As confidence grows, sessions can naturally progress into longer cruises, longbard dance and freestyle, pump tracks, skateparks, surfskate or sliding for downhill and freeride. There’s no pressure to progress in a certain way and sessions are always led by the child on the day. Children learn best when they’re relaxed and enjoying themselves, so sessions are paced carefully with breaks as needed, especially for younger skaters or those new to skating. Helmets and pads are strongly recommended and help children feel confident. If your child has their own board or protections, please bring them along. If not, that’s absolutely fine, I have boards, helmets and pads they can bring, just let me know when booking. Lessons take place at beginner-friendly spots around Bristol and nearby areas, chosen to suit your child and the type of skating we’re doing. This might include quiet car parks, smooth paths, skate parks or pump tracks. Travel outside Bristol may incur a small additional cost, discussed in advance.
