Skate Spot
The Wave in Bristol is a top destination for skaters of all levels,
The long, smooth road, 1KM road leading up to the wave main area, is perfect for skaters looking to cruise and practice foundational skills.
Within the Wave complex, alongside the bay, there are flat areas with space for practising longboard dancing or surfskate technique on the flat.
There's a small half-pipe with differing heights for skateboarders and surfskaters to work on drop-ins and transitions
There's a small, surfskate-focused pump track ideal for practising turns and snaps for intermediate and advanced skaters.
Meeting Point
There are two meeting points at The Wave.
The corner of the car park at the start of the long road down to The Wave itself (What3Words: ///toads.remembers.fleet)
Or at the Wave Centre around the skatepark area (What3Words: https://w3w.co/triathlon.lunch.retrial)
For Private Lessons, your teacher will let you know where to meet beforehand.
For Group Lessons, you'll meet at the main skate area at The Wave, where the ramp and pump track are.
Parking Info
The Wave has its own free car park, a 10-15 minute walk or a short skate away from The Wave main venue. Please factor this into your timings when coming for your session. What3Words: ///orange.sunflower.upcoming
Facilities
The Wave has a water fill up point, cafe and toilet. (Plus a wave pool, obviously!)
Environment
The Wave is an open-air skate spot and therefore, is affected by bad weather. Please find out more about our bad weather cancellation policy here.
It is floodlit after dark, so it is suitable for later sessions when the sun has set.
