Surfskate Masterclass
Technical coaching for surfskaters wanting to level up
Service Description
If you can already push, carve and stop on a surfskate, this session is about refining what you’re doing and taking it further into the skatepark. This isn’t a beginner foundations class. We won’t be covering how to stand on the board or how the truck system works. Instead, we focus on quality of movement, timing and control. Each masterclass has a clear focus depending on the location and the level of the group. That might mean refining pumping and generating speed on flat ground, building confidence on banks and transitions, or working on cleaner carving lines through the park. For intermediate and more advanced riders, we may explore drop-ins, cutbacks, snaps, stronger rotation and carrying speed through bowls with more intention. On the day, we’ll separate into smaller level-based groups so everyone gets coaching that matches where they’re at. The aim is always the same: more flow, more control and a stronger connection between your body and the board. Expect clear feedback on body mechanics, weight distribution and timing, plus space to repeat sections and build confidence properly. Locations vary across Bristol’s skateparks depending on the focus of the session. Occasionally we’ll bring in guest coaches for specialist masterclasses. All surfskates, helmets and pads are available to hire. Add what you need at checkout. To get the most from this session, you should already feel comfortable pushing and carving. If you’re completely new to surfskating, a private lesson or Beginner Surfskate Course will give you much stronger foundations first. Skateparks are outdoors and weather-dependent. If conditions are wet or unsafe, we’ll reschedule.
