St George Skatepark
Skate Spot
St George Skatepark in East Bristol is a classic 80s-style park with something for everyone.
Surfskaters especially love the three linking bowls, each with different depths and smooth roll-in options, perfect for practising pumping, carving, snaps, and generating speed without needing to drop in straight away.
The park also offers wide flat sections that are great for warming up, practising surfskate drills, or building skills step by step before heading to the bowls and ramps.
Its layout makes it welcoming to both beginners finding their flow and experienced riders looking for creative lines.
St George can get busy with families and younger riders outside of school hours, so for a quieter session, try heading there early in the morning or later in the evening.
Meeting Point
Your teacher will meet you in the open area between the car park and the basketball court. It's a good space to warm up together. (What3Words: ///locked.detect.hiding)
Parking Info
Parking for up to 3 hours is free at Chalks Road Car Park (What3Words: ///news.likely.shuts). It's also free all day on a Sunday.
The car park is small so alternative on-street parking is available on Lyndale Road (What3Words ///foods.factor.hands).
Facilities
There is a park toilet, but it's quite grotty.
There are supermarkets a few mins walk away and really nice cafes like the Bristol Loaf on Church Road as well.
Environment
St George Skatepark is an open air skate spot and therefore is affected by bad weather. Please find out more about our bad weather cancellation policy here.
Additionally, it is not well-lit, so NOT suitable for later sessions.
