Victoria Park Skatepark

Skate Spot

Victoria Park Skatepark sits at the bottom of Victoria Park in Bedminster, close to the railway line and a short walk from East Street.

The skatepark was redeveloped in 2024 and now has a much more modern, flowing layout. For surfskaters, it is especially useful for learning how to connect turns, generate speed without pushing and use compression and extension properly on banks and transition.

There are mellow ramps, a small bowl/transition section, a hip, flat bank and wall-stall area, with lots of options for building confidence before taking on steeper or faster lines. It is a brilliant spot for practising bottom-turn and top-turn mechanics, carving lines, pump timing, cutback-style turns and, for more confident riders, gentle drop-ins, snaps and re-entries.

It is still a public skatepark, so we always share the space with other skaters, scooters and riders. In sessions, we will use the quieter areas and choose lines that suit the group’s level.

Meeting Point

Your teacher will meet you inside the skatepark, under the trees.

For course sessions, please arrive 10-15 minutes early so you have time to park, walk over, get your kit on and be ready to start.

Parking Info

There is no dedicated car park for Victoria Park, so please allow extra time to find parking before your session.

The closest free option is usually on-street parking on the residential roads around the park, including Fraser Street and the roads near Windmill Hill Community Centre. From this side of the park, the easiest entrance towards the skatepark is here.

Parking can be limited, especially around rush hour, so it is worth arriving a little early and leaving time to walk across the park to the skatepark.

For longer parking, another option is the Asda Bedminster on East Street. You can park for free for a limited time, or pay for longer parking on the Just Park App. From there, you can walk or skate across to Victoria Park.

Facilities

Victoria Park is a large open public park, but there are limited facilities right by the skatepark.

For toilets, drinks or food before or after a session, the nearest options are usually around East Street or Windmill Hill.

Asda Bedminster is also a useful option that's open longer hours if you need toilets before or after a session.

Windmill Hill City Farm has a café and toilets during opening hours, and Bristol Loaf on East Street is a lovely nearby option for coffee, food and snacks.

Please bring water with you.

Environment

Victoria Park Skatepark is an open air skate spot and therefore is affected by bad weather. Please find out more about our bad weather cancellation policy here. Additionally it is not lit so is not be suitable for after dark skate sessions.
